L.T.F. RANKING SYSTEM 1 Points attributed by tournament:
Exceptions: . A player losing by walk-over in his first round of play (in final draw) does not get any point. . If there is only 17 to 24 participants in the tournament, sixteenth finalists do not get points. . If there is only 9 to 12 participants in the tournament, eighth finalists do not get points. 2 Bonus points: a) Only applies to Ladies and Men singles, and Men doubles. b) When an unseeded player beats a seeded player in the final draw he gets bonus points and the seeded player loses the same number of points, as below:
Exceptions: . If a player beats a seeded by forfeit he does not get bonus points; the seeded also does not lose points (New as of 2003). . A seeded that has reached quarter finals does not lose bonus points. 3 Tournaments taken into account for ranking purposes: a) Men and Ladies New ranking is issued after the completion of each touranment and comprises all tournaments completed during the previous 365 days. d) Age group events (Juniors and veterans) : Total points of all tournaments played between January 1st and December 31st of a given year. 4 Non-Lebanese players ranking : Their actual L.T.F. ranking is taken into account for seeding purposes, however material officially distributed to press does not retain them in the main ranking but show them separately as being "Equivalent to " such ranking. |
